My mom just started the chantix pill about 8 day also, she hasn’t complained of pain and weakness, just nausea. call your doctor to see if that is one of the side effects. Good Luck with the smoking also.

Whenever I go on the patch (I’m about to quit for the third time,) my muscles get very achy…I wonder if it’s from the same thing.

I started the pill last Monday and began having muscle soreness in my upper back (yesterday) but no weakness to really speak of. I think mine might be in part to the fact the medicine makes me somewhat lethargic so I’ve been lying around a lot. So I could be sore from simply lying on the couch…
The good news is this is my third day completely smoke free so don’t let a little soreness discourage you!
